RESULT: Ralf Souquet 5-8 Roberto Gomez, Charlie Williams 6-8 Toru Kuribayashi, Thomas Engert 6-8 Oliver Ortmann
QUOTES: Oliver Ortmann (Germany): "We both didn't play well. When I was up 3-1 I missed an easy ball and I thought that might change the whole match. He came back to 3-3 and it was a totally new match.
"It was my worst match of the tournament but I can be happy that I won.
"I'm in the semi-final and I will try to not think about the past. You have good and bad matches but playing in the semi-finals of the World Pool Masters is a dream and I will try to do my best.
"Sometimes it's better if you have a bad match coming up for the semi-finals instead of having a good match before.
"I'm just trying to concentrate on my own game. Every day the confidence is different and the feeling of the body is different so I hope tonight will change a bit."
18.25pm: The 5, 6 & 7 are all tied up on the top rail and Ortmann makes a good attempt at a snooker. Engert escapes but leaves the 5 ball on, which Ortmann deposits. They both have further visits before Ortmann slams a long 6 ball in the set up a semi-final match against Toru Kuribayashi.
18.20pm: Ortmann cashes in on a weak Engert safety to reach the hill at 6-7.
18.10pm: It's an intriguing affair and Ortmann ties up his opponent in a snooker but Engert is equal to it. The rack develops into a safety battle and it is Ortmann who makes the critical mistake to allow Engert to take the rack. 6-6.

17.37pm: Engert takes the next to level things at 3-3 and crashes home the break. With no run out available he seperates the cue ball and the blue 3 with the 8 ball. Ortmann escapes but leaves the lowest numbered ball on and Engert clears to go 4-3 into the lead.

17.19pm: Ortmann got away with his first miss but his miss on the 8 ball was punished and Engert downed the 8 and 9 balls to tie it up at 1-1.
17.10pm: It's an all-German affair for the fourth and final quarter-final as Thomas Engert and Oliver Ortmann go head to head at the Riviera. Ortmann missed the 9 ball but had another chance and succeeded to go 1.0.

4.36pm: Williams has got plenty of heart as he takes on the tough shots under pressure. The 13th rack sees visits from both of them but Williams misses a tough 6 ball to leave it on for the Japanese lad, who nails it. He them clears the remaining balls to reach the hill. 7-6.
4.31pm: This one looks like going down to the wire, as Williams takes it to 6.6.
4.25pm: On a roll now, the Japanese player ran out his third successive rack to take the lead for the first time since the opening game. 6-5.
4.22pm: In what was a finely contested match, Kuribayashi took the tenth game with a break and run to leave the match finely poised at 5-5.
4.17pm: A dry break left the balls nicely spread and Kuribayashi took full advantage to reduce the deficit to a single frame. 5-4.
4.07pm: Williams looked set to increase his lead but missed a fine cut on the 5 ball. Kuribayashi missed the same shot, table length, before Williams finally nailed the 5 ball down the rail and completed a tidy run out to move to 5-3.
4.01pm: Game competitor that he is, Williams, carrying sole USA hopes, takes the next rack to regain the lead. 4-3.

3.17pm: The next match is between Charlie Williams and Toru Kuribayashi.
QUOTES: Roberto Gomez (Philippines): "I'm so happy to win as I've beaten the best player here. He is the best player because he is so consistent. He never changes as I was on seven racks but he was always there.
"He's as scary an opponent as you can get as he has a poker face but I really feel good to win.
"Dennis Orcollo is very tough but if I can play well then I can beat anyone. I normally beat Dennis but in money gaves he gives me a little weight. But in tournaments we've played four times and I've won three times and he has won once."
3.16pm: Gomez capitalises on Souquet's missed 2-ball and claims victory. He meets countryman Dennis Orcollo in the semi-final.
3.15pm: There will be a Philippines player in the final of the 2010 PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters.
3.12pm: It's a thrilling match full of twists and turns. Souquet has his head in his hands as he misses the 2-ball in the 13th. Gomez pots the 2-ball and a lucky deflection pushes the 3-ball into the right place. It could be all over here.
3.08pm: Not many players, if any, have more mental strength than Souquet. But there's no sign of a collapse. He runs out the next rack to keep it interesting.
3.02pm: There's drama in the 11th. Gomez misses the 1-ball down the rail before Souquet also fails to pot the same ball. He gets lucky as there isn't a clear shot for Gomez. He tries a kick shot but fails to connect and watches in horror as the cue ball zoom into the pocket. Souquet shows some nerve to win the rack. It could have been all over in this match. Will Souquet punish him for that?
2.54pm: Gomez gets out of jail in the tenth. He gets to the table but leaves a long red 3 on. Souquet makes it and is on the verge of another rack. But it all goes wrong when he overhits his pot going from the 8-ball to the 9-ball. Using the rest, he prods at the 9-ball but it stays out. It is an absolute present for Gomez and he moves to the hill.
2.51pm: He runs out the next as well. Commentator Jim Wych sums it up well by saying: "You can never count out Ralf Souquet. Still a lot more for Souquet to do though.
2.49pm: The comeback is on. Souquet was 4-1 down against Do Hoang Quan in the last 32 and won 9-7. He has to make an even better recovery here. He runs out the next rack but is still 2-6 behind.
2.45pm: Gomez can't repeat the feat in the eighth as he makes a dry break, his second of the match. Souquet has a shot at the 1-ball and needs to dig deep here.
2.44pm: A sensational break from Gomez in the next sees four balls drop. It's a road map to a 6-1 lead and that's what it soon becomes.
2.38pm: The Kaiser gets a chance in the sixth after Gomez's jump shot leaves the 1-ball on into the side pocket. But Souquet then misses a blue 2 into the corner pocket. Gomez takes advantage and is 5-1 ahead.
2.31pm: Souquet's illegal break in rack three has proved to be a costly error. It has now cost him three racks. Gomez runs out another and now leads 4-1.
2.21pm: It's more time in his chair for the German. Gomez, with a hugely powerful break that sees his back leg throw up in the air, runs out for a 3-1 advantage.
2.15pm: Souquet can't get any momentum as an illegal break comes after one ball in pocketed with only one over the headstring. Souquet is parked in his seat and can only watch as Gomez moves back in front.
2.14pm: The Kaiser claims the second rack we are tied at 1-1.
2.08pm: Superman Gomez flies into an early head. It comes after Souquet underhits a safety on the blue 2 and Gomez leaves a tricky jump shot. But there's a long distance between the cue-ball, the 8-ball and the target 2-ball. Souquet's attempt hits the top of the 8-ball and ends up on the floor. With ball-in-hand, Gomez does the rest.
2.02pm: The first match of the day is between Ralf Souquet and Roberto Gomez.
2.00pm: Hi there. It's the final day of the 2010 World Pool Masters. By the end of the day we will know who is the 2010 PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters champion.
