8.00pm: Peach knocks out Reyes. It's been a miserable day for the Phillipines as Reyes joins Bustamante and Alcano out of the tournament.

7.50pm: Last two matches in action. Peach needs one more against Reyes, while Niels Feijen is 6-4 up over Ko Pin-yi.

7.45pm: Morra is through thanks to a 9-5 win over Radoslaw Babica.

7.43pm: Daryl Peach and John Morra are both on the hill against Efren Reyes and Radoslaw Babica respectively.

7.40pm: Another big-name American is sent crashing out of the competition. Shane Van Boening slumps to a 5-9 defeat as young Canadian Jason Klatt celebrates.

7.37pm: Gray does enough to stay alive. Edey sent packing 9-5.

7.15pm: England's Mark Gray and Daryl Peach have both edged ahead. Gray 5-3 against Tyler Edey and Peach 4-3 against Efren Reyes.

7.13pm: Shane Van Boening is in desperate trouble. He is one rack away from being knocked out.

6.52pm: There are four matches left in day one and they are all winners-takes-all clashes. The latest scores are Shane Van Boening 4-6 Jason Klatt, Radoslaw Babica 3-3 John Morra, Daryl Peach 2-2 Efren Reyes and Mark Gray 3-3 Tyler Edey.

6.51pm: Huidji See advances and sends Allison Fisher home with a 9-3 scoreline.

6.49pm: Allison Fisher is clinging on by her fingernails. She trails 2-8 against Huidji See.

6.44pm: It's bad news for fans of Filipino legends. Francisco Bustamante crashes out 9-2 at the hands of Oliver Ortmann, while Efren Reyes has lost the first rack in his do-or-die encounter with Daryl Peach.

6.36pm: Kuo Po-cheng is the next man to advance. He sees off countryman Ko Pin-yi 9-3, who now has a make-or-break tie with Dutch star Niels Feijen.

6.24pm: Evgeni Novosad was an unknown before today but will now be competing in the last 32. A 9-8 win over Shane Van Boening earlier in the day was probably the best win of his career but his 9-4 triumph over female star Ga Young Kim was enough to put him into the next round.

6.18pm: Francisco Bustamante was docked a frame for not being ready at the right time and it has affected him as he trails Oliver Ortmann 6-2.

6.14pm: Daryl Peach, the 2006 world champion, meets Efren Reyes, a world title winner in 1999, in a deciding match. Winner goes through, loser goes out. Peach set this match up by beating Tron Engebakk 9-2.

6.11pm: The battle of the two Taiwanese players sees Kuo Po-Cheng lead Ko Pin-yi 3-2 but there's a long way to go.

6.09pm: England's Mark Gray is still in. A 9-7 win over Ben Nunan sends the Australian heading home early.

6.04pm: It's not been a good day for Norway's Tron Engebakk. He lost 9-1 against Dennis Hatch and is now 6-1 down against Daryl Peach and in need of a miracle.

5.55pm: Shane Van Boening saves himself. He beats David Grau 9-5 but now must beat Jason Klatt to stay involved.

5.51pm: Dennis Hatch restores some pride for the USA Mosconi Cup side by going 2-0 and into the next round. His second win was a 9-6 victory over John Morra.

5.37pm: Oscar Dominguez joins Mosconi Cup team mate Corey Deuel out of the competition. Dominguez's hopes faded when he lost 4-9 to England's Allison Fisher.

5.28pm: Two more results as Naoyuki Oi joins Martinez in the next phase. Naoyuki Oi thrashes Oliver Ortmann 9-1, while Radoslaw Babica wins 9-3 to say Hasta La Vista to David Alcaide. 

5.21pm: Rafael Martinez gets the two racks he needed. He wins 9-4 and is coming back on Friday for the next round.

5.15pm: Superman Roberto Gomez flies into the next round. He beat Earl Strickland 9-5 earlier and fought back from 8-7 down to beat Huidji See 9-8.

5.12pm: Rafael Martinez, who only secured his spot in the competition yesterday, is two racks from the last 32. He leads 7-2 over Ukrainian Evgeni Novosad.

4.57pm: Naoyuki Oi is in fine form today. After beating Mark Gray 9-6, he now leads another European Mosconi Cup veteran - Oliver Ortmann - 5-1.

4.52pm: Huidji See is on the hill and one rack away from the next phase. He has already beaten Niels Feijen so a victory over Roberto Gomez would seal a fantastic day.

4.44pm: One member of the 2009 USA Mosconi Cup side is already out (see 4.33pm) and Oscar Dominguez is also staring into the abyss. He needs to win but is five behind Allison Fisher.

4.42pm: Francisco Bustamante saves his skin but it's goodbye to 2006 world champion Ronnie Alcano. The Volcano fails to erupt, loses 9-6 and is going home.

4.33pm: Corey Deuel, a member of the victorious USA Mosconi Cup side, is out of the World Pool Masters. Ga Young Kim becomes the first female to win a match in this year's competition and keeps her hopes alive with a 9-6 success.

4.27pm: There's an injection of Girl Power in the Masters at the moment as Ga Young Kim leads 7-6 over Corey Deuel, while Allison Fisher is 3-0 up over Oscar Dominguez.

4.16pm: Two more players qualify into the next phase. Raj Hundal overcomes Jason Klatt 9-3 and The Hitman has hardly been tested today. Vietnam's Do Hoang Quan joins Hundal in the last 32 thanks to a 9-3 success over Tyler Edey.

4.08pm: It is tight and tense on table eight in the all-Filipino clash between Ronnie Alcano and Francisco Bustamante. The loser goes home. It's 2-2 at the moment.

3.53pm: Canadian John Morra wins a near never-ending match. He wins 9-5 over Daryl Peach in one of the longest matches of the day so far. Morra's reward is an instant return to action as he meets Dennis Hatch, who has patiently waited for his opponent for nearly an hour.

3.46pm: Earl Strickland is out of the 2010 PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters. A crushing 9-0 defeat against Niels Feijen seals his fate. Two golden breaks in a row sees Strickland unhappy.

3.34pm: Oliver Ortmann begins with a win, 9-7 over Australian Ben Nunan.

3.33pm: Kuo Po-cheng defeats Oscar Dominguez 9-8 to set up an all-Taiwanese match against Ko Pin-Yi. The winner will be in the last 32.

3.27pm: Raj Hundal is closing in on being the second man into the last 32. He leads Canadian Jason Klatt 4-0. Elsewhere, it's hill-hill Oscar Dominguez v Kuo Po Cheng, while Oliver Ortmann only needs one more against Australia's Ben Nunan.

3.15pm: It's a bad start for Allison Fisher. She loses 9-2 to Taiwanese youngster Ko Pin-yi.

3.13pm: Thorsten Hohmann becomes the first man through to the last 32. He beat Radoslaw Babica in his first match and followed that with a 9-6 success over Efren Reyes.

3.08pm: Novosad sinks a tricky 9-ball to claim the biggest shock of the tournament so far and the best result of his career. He trailed 6-3 against Shane Van Boening but then won 9-8.

3.03pm: Drama on table two. Hill-hill between Shane Van Boening and Evgeni Novosad.

2.57pm: Oi finishes off the job 9-6, while Martinez beats Grau by the same score.

2.50pm: Evgeni Novosad is producing a spirited effort but still trails Shane Van Boening 6-7. Oi is now on the hill against Mark Gray.

2.37pm: Grau is keeping it interesting and now trails 5-8. Naoyuki Oi is still in front against Mark Gray, although the Englishman is fighting hard.

2.28pm: Mexican qualifier Rafael Martinez is on the hill and 8-3 in front against American David Grau.

2.16pm: It's a good start for Shane Van Boening. He's 4-2 up against Ukrainian Evgeni Novosad.

2.12pm: Mark Gray is hoping for a memorable fightback. He trailed 0-6 against Naoyuki Oi but has won three on the bounce but is still 3-6 behind.

2.04pm: It's easy for the Hatchman. He completes a 9-1 triumph against Tron Engebakk.

1.57pm: Mosconi Cup MVP Dennis Hatch is 7-1 up against Norway's Tron Engebakk but Mark Gray, who competed in the Mosconi Cup in 2008, is 0-5 down against Japan's Naoyuki Oi.

1.54pm: Thorsten Hohmann just does enough to beat Radoslaw Babica 9-8. Reyes is next up for Hohmann, while Babica meets David Alcaide needing a win to stay alive.

1.51pm: The results are coming in thick and fast. Jason Klatt beats Corey Deuel 9-5.

1.50pm: The most sensational comeback of the tournament so far has come on table four. Niels Feijen was 5-1, 6-3 and 8-4 ahead of countryman Huidji See but See won five on the bounce to steal a 9-8 victory.

1.39pm: Bustamante's loss, along with Ronnie Alcano's defeat against Tyler Edey means Bustamante plays Alcano. The loser will be out.

1.37pm: There's a shock in Group 4. Do Hoang Quan claims a memorable win against Francisco Bustamante 9-8.

1.30pm: There's another result in. And it's a bad one for The Earl. Strickland loses 5-9 against Roberto Gomez. Strickland must now beat either Niels Feijen or Huidji See to stay in the competition.

1.16pm: Tyler Edey claims a 9-4 win over Ronnie Alcano. Great result for the Canadian. Feijen and Do Hoang Quan are both on the hill against See and Bustamante respectively.

1.10pm: It's an epic on table eight - Bustamante pulls it back to 6-6. Corey Deuel is now 3-7 down.

1pm: Vietnam's Do Hoang Quan is 5-4 up on Filipino legend Francisco Bustamante.

12.57pm: It's all square at 4-4 between Roberto Gomez and Earl Strickland in Group Two, while Niels Feijen leads countryman Huidji See 5-1 in the same group.

12.53pm: Alcaide won one rack but it was not enough to stop Reyes, who wins 9-3.

12.51pm: Efren Reyes is on the hill against David Alcaide, while Mosconi Cup winner Corey Deuel is 5-2 down against Canadian qualifier Jason Klatt.

12.48pm: We have the first result of the afternoon as Raj Hundal has claimed an emphatic 9-1 triumph over Ga Young Kim. Elsewhere, former World Champion Ronnie Alcano is in trouble and is 6-2 down against Canada's Tyler Edey.
