KAMUI CONFIRMED AS OFFICIAL CHALK AND TIP OF PREDATOR CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE POOL

Matchroom Multi Sport are pleased to announce that KAMUI will be the Official Chalk and Tip of the upcoming Predator Championship League Pool in an extension of KAMUI’s existing partnership of all Matchroom Pool events.

KAMUI is the ongoing Official Chalk and Tip of the Mosconi Cup, US Open Pool Championship, World Cup of Pool and World Pool Masters and will also continue that partnership to the World Pool Championship which returns to the Matchroom stable from May 10-14.

Predator Championship League Pool begins on Monday, March 22 and runs for eight consecutive days, bringing pool fans uninterrupted coverage of 24 matches per day featuring some of the biggest names in the sport.

Players will have KAMUI chalk at their disposal tableside throughout the event as the partnership between Matchroom and KAMUI continues into its third year. KAMUI will also be donating a full chalk and tip set as a prize for the Matchroom Pool raffle which will run during the event to help raise funds for the Jeanette Lee Legacy Fund.

Masato Hiraoka, Managing director of KAMUI Brand, said: ‘We would like to thank Matchroom for another great opportunity of supporting the event. We appreciate what Matchroom achieved to have an additional event of cue sports, especially during the time of the pandemic. The event is another milestone for our billiard society and we are delighted to get involved to this.”

Emily Frazer, Managing Director of Matchroom Multi Sport, said: “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with KAMUI to include Predator Championship League Pool. KAMUI have been a great supporter and partner of our events since first coming on board two years ago and we are thrilled to be working with their team for our brand-new event.”

Predator Championship League Pool will be broadcast live globally thanks to broadcast partnerships with FreeSports, DAZN and Matchroom.Live. The event has a prize fund of $85,950 and features some of the world’s best players including Naoyuki Oi, Joshua Filler and Albin Ouschan.

Each day features a seven-player group, with each player facing every other player once in a race-to-5. At the end of the group the top four will advance to the play-offs, playing a semi-final and then final, also played as race-to-5. Play-off champions will advance to the big-money Winners’ Group on March 29, which will provide the showpiece conclusion of Predator Championship League Pool.

Players who finished bottom of each group are eliminated from the event, while the remaining five players in each group will continue to the next day’s play, where two new players enter the tournament.
